Male-female hex standoffs are threaded fasteners which with one male thread end and one female thread end.The hexagonal shape can be gripped with a wrench to help prevent turning or twisting when assemble.Usually they are used to connect female and male components and provide space between them, such as when holding a circuit board away from a metal surface. Male-female standoffs can also be used with a hex head screw to create a finished appearance.
